We know there are many different paths to take, groups to join, and people to meet, so we’re sharing seven steps for success with you that will help you navigate more quickly and get the most out of your experience in our neighborhood.

Emma Isnor: Believe it or not, our UKG Community recently celebrated its first birthday! It feels like just yesterday we opened the doors, and even though it’s been a year, we know you may still be learning your way around. After all, there are many different paths to take, groups to join, and people to meet. Hi everyone. I’m Emma Isnor at the Working Smarter Cafe and on today’s Two-Minute Tuesday Tip, I’ll be sharing seven steps for success in the UKG Community. Think of these tips as your GPS, helping you navigate shortcuts and find the fastest route to your destination.

First, you want to make sure you’re accessing the Community as an authorized user. While there are some resources you can see without logging in, once you self-register and log in, you’ll have a much more personalized experience and be able to access all the valuable content that’s available. Second, visit the “My Products” tab to see a list of all the products your organization is live on. You can then visit the Learn page for your solution to get familiar with all the different resources offered there, such as product guides, events, release information, and more.
Third, sign up for notifications under the “My Settings” tab, to be alerted when someone comments on your posts, sends you a direct message, and so much more. Fourth, take advantage of our “Search and Filter” functionality to find helpful product resources and discussion groups. The search engine gets more intuitive the more you use it to help improve your search experience, so be sure to take advantage of it.
Fifth, favorite and subscribe to knowledge articles you’ll need to access frequently by clicking the star icon that appears at the top of every knowledge article next to the word “Favorites.” That will allow you to favorite the article or subscribe to it, so you’re notified if it gets updated. Sixth, under the Services and Support tab, select “Manage Cases” to quickly search for cases by case number or date range. We know this was something many of you asked for, and we hope this will help you quickly find what you’re looking for.
Lastly, be sure to review and join the many discussion groups we have available. These are the best way to connect with your fellow users and UKG product experts. A pro tip for our groups is that you can bookmark a discussion you find particularly helpful by clicking the arrow at the top right of the post and selecting “Bookmark” from the dropdown. You can view all your bookmarks under the My Bookmarks tab on the home page.
