Introducing the UKG Pro Mobile App

Savannah Guenthner: Hi everyone and welcome back to the Working Smarter Café pod. I’m your host, Savannah Guenthner, and today we’re talking about the new UKG Pro Mobile experience. As we step into the new year, we’re focused on creating growth and cohesion in the mobile app experience to better meet the needs of your employees and managers. With the UKG Pro mobile app, you can expect a revamped interface that brings multiple products under one umbrella.

The new UKG Pro mobile app offers a smooth path to employees and managers, helping them complete daily activities with ease. By combining various products under one app, we’re also setting the stage for exciting new features across the Pro Suite, HCM, and WFM products. This helps us keep growing, innovating, and offering useful new tools to all customers—no matter their product mix. When you download the UKG Pro app, you can expect a cohesive and user-friendly experience with room to grow and develop over time.

We’ve organized a smooth transition for employees switching to the UKG Pro app. The new app can be manually activated at any time, and employees will log in using the same Company Access Code or Tenant URL they normally use. Admins can even set up a QR code employees can scan to automatically load the code or URL—how easy is that? Employee login details, including usernames, passwords, restrictions, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA) settings, will carry over to the new app with no changes required. Once logged in, employees can safely remove the legacy app from their devices. No need for admins to update user access settings either; everything, from access rights to profiles, will remain unchanged. 

Wondering how to help your employees make the switch? We’ve got you covered. You can set up a simple notification in their current legacy app. If you decide to enable the notification, employees will see a pop-up in their legacy UKG app as soon as they log in, letting them know they can install the new UKG Pro app. They can always dismiss the pop-up if they don’t have time to download the new app right away, and it’ll reappear the next time they log in, making it easy to find the right time to switch. Once they make the switch, we recommend they go ahead and delete their legacy apps.

So, which legacy apps are we replacing? UKG Pro Classic, UKG Dimensions, and UKG Talk are all being deprecated, while UKG Ready, UKG Pro Learning, UKG Ready Learning, and UKG Wallet will remain as they are. Most product combinations will need to switch to the new app, and a full list can be found in the episode notes. However, if you have a custom product configuration, your situation might be a little different. You can reach out to us via your usual channels if you find yourself in this boat and want to make sure you’re on the right track.
